Muscular and Neuromuscular disorders can have a wide range of causes, from a virus to congenital abnormalities.  Today I want you to get an overview of a few of the more commonly occurring neuromuscular disorders. You will need to know basic information about each of these and you will be choosing one of these disorders as a project topic.

Look up the following muscular system disorders and for each write down:

What are the symptoms of the disorder?

What is the treatment?

Structure of the Hip and Pelvic Girdle

The hip joint consists of 4 bones (three of which are fused) and one joint, however regular movement in the hip area (for actions such as walking and standing) take place as a combination of motions from 2 additional joints of the pelvic girdle.
